SEO, PPC, CPM, CTR are internet and search engine marketing terms that every business owner, marketer and webmaster has at least heard of by now. Chances are, if you are expecting your website to bring you new business, you’ve implemented one, several or all of these search engine and internet marketing methods and measurements to determine ROI of the website as it relates to the bottom line of the business.

Every presentation, class and seminar I have given has produced a question about what exactly these acronyms mean. Often, the meaning of these terms elude those who aren’t immersed in website marketing and promotion on a daily basis. A recent article I’ve written for the National Home Furnishings Retailer Magazine (go to page 20 for Article Rebecca Murtagh article) explains the SEO, PPC, CPM, CTR acronyms in detail, what it means to your business, if you need a refresher.

Which internet and search engine marketing methods have you tried and which do you prefer?

Acronym used on the intranet? Heavens. Actually I think that SEO and SEM have merged into one single concept quite muddled in actual practice. Maybe it should be SEOM – search engine optimization management.

Thanks for the information…I bookmarked your site, and I appreciate your time and effort to make your blog a success!
